With over 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development, Sami Qassim serves as Chief Research & Development Officer at Tabuk Pharmaceuticals. He brings deep expertise in R&D, technology transfer, GMP compliance, and business process improvement, with a strong track record in advancing complex pharmaceutical portfolios across the MENA region. At Tabuk Pharmaceuticals, he is leading the R&D function—driving portfolio expansion, accelerating product development, and strengthening capabilities in injectables, oncology, and other specialized formulations. His work emphasizes aligning scientific innovation with regional healthcare needs and global regulatory standards.

Prior to this role, Mr. Qassim held progressive leadership positions at Tabuk, including Senior Vice President of R&D, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s development initiatives. His earlier career includes technical and regulatory leadership roles at SPIMACO and APM, contributing to product development, process enhancement, and compliance.

He holds a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Technology from Jordan University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) from Jordan University.
