With a career built at the intersection of science, strategy, and execution, Dr. Ragheb AlShakhshir serves as Chief Research & Development Officer at Tabuk Pharmaceuticals. He brings over 25 years of global experience in pharmaceutical R&D, lifecycle management, and scientific leadership across the U.S., Europe, and MENA. At Tabuk Pharmaceuticals, he is leading the company’s R&D transformation—advancing portfolio growth, accelerating product development, and expanding capabilities across injectables, oncology, and complex formulations. His work is focused on aligning scientific innovation with regional needs and global regulatory standards.

Prior to joining Tabuk Pharmaceuticals, Dr. AlShakhshir held senior executive roles at Julphar and Hikma Pharmaceuticals, where he built an injectable portfolio of more than 70 products, led the development of the MENA region’s first FDA- and EMA-approved oral oncology drug, and drove large-scale tech transfers and product remediation initiatives. His scientific foundation includes early-career leadership at Novartis and Alcon, and academic research at Purdue University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Industrial and Physical Pharmacy.
